We honestly had an incredible experience for our first time. They really raised the bar high for sushi standards in Ottawa. Fish quality is incredible and presentation so unique. If you go there for your first time, invest into an omakase, the Chef will truly blow your mind. This is high quality sushi, it’s a treat, and I can’t see a place like this be affordable. This is not average, it’s an experience and worth it. We’re hooked and will make it a once a month thing! Great work Chef!

My partner and I ordered the 32 piece sushi set. They had really unique types of sushi that we have never seen before. The scallop and seared sushi tasted good. However, some pieces had a lot of raw green onions in it that overpowered the rest of the sushi. There were no prices on their website. It is quite expensive for sushi, as we paid over $100 for this set. Overall, it was not bad and unique, but quite expensive for what we ordered.

Best quality sushi in Ottawa! I used to go other cities for good quality sushi. After trying Shinka, I don’t miss other places around anymore. You get what you pay for. the quality is unbeatable in the town. They have introduced the community delivery lately so it’s a good option if you don’t wanna drive all the way for the pickup.

Shinka sushi is one of our favourite sushi restaurants in Ottawa! The Chef never disappoints with his creations! He always uses the very best ingredients and his presentation is absolutely amazing! This is a go-to spot for my partner and I. They also cater to all dietary preferences (GF & vegan), which is great! Definitely recommend!

Fantastic sushi! All the ingredients in their specialty rolls compliment each other really well. The staff was really nice and gave the kiddies and I a free appetizer. Too bad the dining area is closed due to renovations, would like to come back when it reopens! The location is odd though, it's close to large dusty roads in an industrial area, I would not have found this place if not for google. Don't let that deter you from checking out this hidden gem though!

John and his team have really mastered Japanese cuisine. The best place in a 200 km radius. Always fresh produce, good quality fish and very little rice. In 3 years of eating at this restaurant ive never been disappointed. We even hired uber drivers to deliver this good sushi to our neighborhood. Just fantastic 😍

Some of the most top quality sushi in Ottawa. My expectations are always high when I order and always met. Fresh and excellent quality every time and a great wait to treat yourself at home. Grateful to have Shinka in Ottawa!

I ordered 2 dynamite roles and 2 California roles (4 in total) through Uber Eats. The food was served in a box and was very well packed and presented. But they had forgotten to put any chopsticks. The California role was mediocre and did not taste fresh but the dynamite role was very tasty and yummy. I wish I had ordered 4 dynamite roles instead.
